Get yourself cosmetics that are non-cometigenic, which basically means they won’t clog your pores. Stop using any product that irritates your skin and move on to a product that is suitable for your skin. Always read the product containers to get additional information on a product you’re planning to purchase. It usually contains information such as what skin types it’ll work on best. Or better still run a search on the internet regarding that particular product for even more valuable information (especially if the product is expensive). Remember, at least read the labels first before deciding on a purchase.

Do not to over wash your skin, as this can cause it to become irritated and breakouts to occur. When washing too frequently, you risk drying up your skin and make your skin even more irritable.  Also, wash gently.  Harsh scrubbing will not remove any more dirt and oil than gentle scrubbing, and will also cause irritation.

What ever urge you have, avoid squeezing your pimple at all cost. This causes the bacteria to go deeper within the skin, and the area around the pimple to become irritated and inflamed. Cleanse the area instead and use a toner to alleviate the problem and bring out the pus.

Always choose your acne treatment product carefully or you might even try sticking to one brand for your daily regimen, as this will help you be consistent.  Often times, a specific line of products is designed to work one after another and you best stick to one product until you are absolutely certain that the product either work or not.

When you’re starting an acne treatment regiment, do not start with the harshest product as it can irritate your skin. Change products if what you are using is not working for you.  Consult a physician if use of over-the-counter hygiene products isn’t doing the trick.
